Arc’teryx Coast Mountains Immersive Experience
This exclusive, multimedia installation was more than a branded exhibit. It was a fully immersive expedition designed to evoke awe, spark curiosity, and strengthen emotional connection with the Arc’teryx brand. Through cutting-edge technology and sensory storytelling, guests were transported from city streets to snow-dusted peaks, experiencing the dramatic, ever-changing weather and raw natural beauty that fuel Arc’teryx innovation.
ASTOUND brought the mountain to Manhattan, curating an unforgettable, step-by-step adventure that pushed the boundaries of experiential storytelling. Guests began their journey inside a simulated helicopter ride, and “climbed” through fog-shrouded forests, rugged inclines, and snowy terrain, all brought to life through immersive lighting, ambient soundscapes, and subtle motion cues. The final push brought guests face-to-face with a breathtaking 270° panoramic screen, simulating the summit under swirling weather.
This cinematic, visceral experience did more than elevate brand awareness – it fostered a lasting emotional connection between attendees and the Arc’teryx brand. Ultimately, the experience became a compelling blend of brand immersion, emotional storytelling, and experiential innovation – one that lingered long after guests returned to the city streets.
AI Art Wall
Narrative PR came to ASTOUND looking for a series of ideas and solutions for their client's Summit in Colorado, where attendees could interact with AI-technology in real time.
From scratch, ASTOUND developed the AI Art Wall, utilizing real-time generative image technology (StreamDiffusion) to create an interactive experience for guests. By turning the audience's body and movements into a virtual paintbrush, the interactive art wall captivated people, drawing them in to witness how their likeness was transformed into ever-changing works of art. In addition, the AI Avatar photobooth allowed guests to take live photos and drop them into a custom scene of their choosing, while also including a share out option. Lastly, the case study tunnel displayed client supported AI case studies on a continuous loop, showcasing their product in an immersive way.
ASTOUND was proud to create something innovative and never done before, garnering 5,573 interactions with the AI Art Wall, and 2,102 AI Photos Generated.
Barbie™ Malibu Dreamhouse Experience
Mattel’s Barbie™ brand invited fans to step into her world – literally – with a bold, immersive experience that brought the beloved Malibu Dreamhouse to life. As the lead fabrication partner, ASTOUND was responsible for turning Mattel’s approved renderings into a real-life Barbie dreamland through precision craftsmanship, large-scale scenic artistry, and high-quality production precision across the entire experience.
We translated rendered concepts into fully fabricated, photo-ready environments, achieving bold color accuracy and branded styling throughout the entire build. We constructed a variety of themed activity areas with different structural and safety requirements, and ensured durability, interactivity, and accessibility across multiple high-traffic zones.
The result was an unforgettable, immersive experience that perfectly captured Barbie’s legacy, versatility, and vibrant spirit. ASTOUND’s fabrication work provided the structure and polish that made the entire space feel like stepping into a real-world version of a toybox fantasy.
Together with Mattel, ASTOUND helped transform the Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse from render to reality – an iconic world brought to life, one panel, prop, and playful interaction at a time.
