Breaking through the limits of e-commerce platforms has never been so fun!

CHALLENGE

At Shoptalk 2025, Bloomreach set out to create a hands-on experience that reflected their mission to help retailers overcome real-world digital commerce challenges. They wanted more than just foot traffic — they wanted to inspire meaningful engagement through play

Bloomreach approached ASTOUND with a vision: build an activation that translated their message — "Break Limits" — into a tangible, physical experience. The challenge was creating something fun and interactive that also resonated with their brand promise. It needed to be bold, simple to operate, and easy to scale on the show floor. 

SOLUTION

ASTOUND created BREAK, a digital-meets-physical arcade-style experience. A tethered foam ball became the player's tool, used to strike animated retail pain points — like poor site search or legacy systems — as they floated across a large-format LED screen. Every hit triggered a reaction on-screen, added to the score, and pushed guests to break through the barriers of digital inefficiency. The experience ran on a 30-second timer with a live leaderboard to fuel competition and repeat play. 

OUTCOME

BREAK turned Bloomreach’s booth into a show floor spectacle. The interactive wall drew steady crowds, sparked real-time conversations, and amplified Bloomreach’s message in a memorable, visual way. More than just a game, it gave guests a satisfying, symbolic way to interact with the brand’s mission — turning passive awareness into active participation.
